Hi, nice to meet you.
My name is Shachar. Yes, I know, it’s a little hard to pronounce. But don’t worry, you’ll get the hang of it in no time. I'm a 7-time Cannes Lions award winning Creative Director, writer, photographer, and tech enthusiast. I'm also a long-time instructor at Miami Ad School SF, and a volunteer photographer/writer for Taproot Foundation.
My career hasn’t been a conventional or linear one, to say the least. But that’s part of the fun, right? Growing up in Tel Aviv, I began my creative path early on as a punk-rock concert photographer and writer for music magazines. Later, I joined the Air Force as a First Sergeant in a top-secret unit, nestled inside an underground outpost just a couple miles away from the Syrian border.
Yeah, just like in the movies.
My foray into the creative industry was at Saatchi&Saatchi Tel Aviv where I sharpened my craft, winning five gold Cannes Lions during my first year as a Copywriter. Fast forward a few years later, I joined 72andSunny’s coveted creative residency program. LA’s perfect weather was too hard to resist and I decided to stay in California as a full time creative working on projects for Google. Nowadays I reside in the Bay Area.
